Mrs. Carolyn Ann Irby Benamon's Obituary
Carolyn Ann Irby Benamon was born on September 20, 1952 to the late Mrs. Essie Mae Cole Irby and Mr. Spencer Mosley in Meridian, MS. Carolyn assignment and her earthly journey came to an end on October 5, 2018. Carolyn united with the Fifth Street Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. William C. Brown where she worked in several capacities of the church and remained a faithful member until her death. In August of 1980 Carolyn gave birth to baby boy she named James Grady "aka" Teddy and in April of 1982 she gave birth to a baby girl Essie Caterica Grady "aka" Sissy". There were six grandchildren from James and Essie. Then came a God sent daughter whom she loved as her very own Angie Grant and her four boys as her very own grandsons. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents Mrs. Essie Mae Cole Irby and Mr. Spencer Mosley. She was also preceded in death by her oldest sister Kattie B. Hall and nephew Jonathan "Bam-Bam" Williams. Carolyn leaves to cherish her memories: A son, James "Teddy" Grady of Jackson, MS; Daughters, Essie Grady of Meridian, MS & Anjalah Hughes of Maumelle, AK; Ten Grandchildren; Corin Grady, Patrick Harvey, Javier Grady, Jamirous Holmes, Mya Sparrow, Mariah Sparrow, Zitivon Hughes, ZiMorien Hughes, Zsilas Hughes and Zacehaeus Grant; A Great Grand daughter Brielle Marie Franklin of Meridian, MS; A devoted sister, Ms. Sennie Mae Irby of Irvington, NJ; Four nieces; Mrs. Terrie Collier, Mrs. Vickie Williams & Ms. Yolanda Hall of Meridian, Ms and Ms Mary Smith of Irvington, NJ; One Nephew. Mr. Charles Wilson of Meridian, MS; One Uncle; James Cole of St. Louis, MO; Two Aunts; Mrs. Mabelle Cole of St. Louis, MO and Mrs. Loretha Cole of Houston, TX; She had a very special relationship with Stephanie Jordan, Nonie Hall and Deborah Ferrill; a host of other relatives and friends.
