Mrs. Carolyn Donald Watts' Obituary
Carolyn Donald Watts was born December 31, 1963, to the late Sylvester Donald, Sr. and the late Lillian Atterberry Donald in Quitman, MS. She departed this life September 20, 2016, in Gulfport, MS at Garden Park Medical Center. In 1982, Carolyn graduated from Quitman High School. Later in life, she decided to further her education and enrolled at Meridian Community College. Carolyn joined White Oak Springs Baptist Church of Quitman, MS, at an early age. There, she accepted Christ and served her church in many capacities. From singing in her family group, The Joys of Faith, to serving the church as program chairperson, choir member, kitchen committee, and Sunday school teacher, she served her church diligently until she became afflicted with health issues. Carolyn was preceded in death by five brothers: Chester Russell, Rev. Sylvester Donald, Jr., L.S. Donald, Paul Donald, Sr, and Archie Donald; and one adopted sister: Shirley Lennett Russell. She will always be remembered for her giving heart and her love for family. Carolyn leaves to cherish her memories: her husband, Tony Ray Watts, Sr.; one daughter, Lillian Lenett Donald; two sons: Tony Ray Watts, Jr. and Zy'Darius Williams; all of Quitman, MS; five brothers: Sammy (Lou) Donald of Quitman, MS; SV (Brenda) Donald of New Orleans, LA; Eddie (Alecia) Donald ofMuskegee, MI; OC (Kim) Donald of Quitman, MS; and George (Pat) Donald of Heidelberg, MS; five sisters: Mary Lee Walley of Laurel, MS; Clara Donald of Quitman, MS; Rosie Dunlap of Stonewall, MS; Ella Ruth (TJ) Hubbard of Racine, WI; and Joe Ann (Andrew) Gray of Quitman, MS; two adopted brothers: Chester Russell of Laurel, MS and Calvin Russell of Fresno, CA; four adopted sisters: Vickie Russell of Laurel, MS; Terry Goldsmith of Hampton, GA; Angie Russell of MS and Stacy (Bobby) Wilson of Houston, TX; one special sister-in-law, Shirley Ann Donald of Quitman, MS; two special grandchildren, Quantarius "Squirrel" Harrison and Asia Marie Harrison; three special friends: Beatrice Gilmore, Barbara Robinson, and Roxanne Spicer; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
