Mrs. Carrie Mae Lee-Naylor's Obituary
Sis. Carrie Mae Lee -Naylor was born on November 23, 1931, in Lauderdale, Mississippi to the late William Henry Lee and the late Velma Toole Lee Patrick. She confessed hope in Christ at an early age and united with the Elizabeth United Methodist Church in Lauderdale, MS, where she served as a faithful member until her health failed. Carrie spent most of her life living in Inglewood, CA with her husband Matthew Naylor. After retirement they moved back to Meridian MS. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She was the life of all the family gatherings (dancing -dropping it like it's hot). She enjoyed cooking, dancing, talking on the phone and entertaining. She loved her family and would do what she could to help anyone. We will miss her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her husband Matthew Naylor, parents, maternal and paternal grandparents; one daughter, Fannie Nixon; one son, Leroy Lee; one greatgrandson, Mason Lee; one great great-grandson, Jamon-Hill Jr.; two brothers, Luther Portis and Arthur Lee; two sisters, Gracie Mae Lee Gibbs and Mandy Louise Cox.
Carrie Mae Lee-Naylor departed this earthly life on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at Oshner Rush Health Hospital in Meridian, MS surrounded by family.
Carrie leaves to cherish her precious memories to: raised like a daughter, Brenda Lee of Atlanta, Georgia; daughter-n-law, Toma Faye Lee of Lauderdale, MS; 10 grandchildren, Roger Lee and his friend Tasha Taylor of Detroit, Ml, Eligah (Eli) Lee (Ariel) of Toomsuba, MS; Sara Russell (Ray) of Orlando, FL, Valis ha (LeLe) Lee-Lloyd (Christian) of 4tlanta, Georgia, Melvina Okoh (Emeka) of Los Angeles, CA, La Trice Braziel of Meridian, MS, Timberly Breshers of Lauderdale, MS, Tori Williams, Nathaniel Williams and Breja Wilson all of Las Vegas, Nevada; one (1) sister, Bertha Fluker of Meridian, MS; twenty-seven (27) great-grandchildren, twenty-six (26) great-great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, in-laws, cousins, and other loving relatives and friends that love and will miss her dearly.
