Mrs. Carrie G. Starks' Obituary
Carrie Starks, 87, of Meridan, was surrounded by her family when she passed from this life to spend eternity with her Heavenly Father on March 25, 2023, at, 6:25 p.m. at Ochsner Rush Medical Center. Carrie was born on September 4, 1935, in Jenkins, AL, to the late Willie and Onnie Lee Robinson. On November 14, 1949, she married Robert Starks Sr. Out of the wedlock there were 7 children Robert (Tonya) Starks Jr., of Cordele, GA, Cleo (Elvis) Westbrook, of Cordele, GA, Leo Starks twin to Cleo who passed away 12 hrs. after birth, Helen (Ray) McKenzie, of Meridan, Ray (Linzie) Starks, of Meridan, Terry Starks and Vinnie (Calvin) Pringles of Meridan. One God daughter Annie Collins (Odell), One living First Cousin Willie Evans, One Livin·g Sister-in-Law Betty Starks of Dayton, Ohio, Pastor Ruthie Mae Sanford (Niece raised as her sister) 28 grandchildren 31 great grandchildren and 4 great-great -grandchildren and a host of Special God children, nieces and nephew. A special neighbor Raffe Henderson and a special caregiver Mearl Parker and a special nurse Jamie Ingraham Egra both of Meridan. She was preceded in death by 20 siblings. Carrie was a member of the Union Hill A.O.H church for over 40 years in Meridan serving as an Junior Missionary and Church Mother.
