Mrs. Casino Miller's Obituary
On August 29, 1973, a very soft-spoken little girl was born in Meridian, Mississippi to Miss Fayette Miller and Mr. Benjamin Alford and was given the name, Casino Miller. She departed this life on Sunday, August 27, 2023 at her residence. She is preceded in death by her grandfathers, Luke A. V. Miller and William "T. Boy" Alford; and her grandmothers, Morice Miller and Frances Alford.
Casino accepted Christ at an early age and during adulthood, she joined First United Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Willie E. Hood. Early on in her educational experience, Casino attended Crestwood School where she got her schooling until she graduated from Meridian High School in 1992. Shortly after, Casino transitioned to the workforce and started working at Avery Dennison where she remained until she accepted a position at Sack N Save. After leaving there, Casino accepted additional work, starting with Meridian Public School System and ending with Hampton Inn - Meridian where she worked as Breakfast Bar Supervisor until her death.
When Casino wasn't working, she enjoyed many different activities. She enjoyed planning and taking trips with her children, cooking her favorite meals and watching her favorite TV shows. She was also the life of any occasion she attended. No matter how big or small size, she could make anyone laugh and anyone could make her laugh. When it came to cars, she loved her maroon Geo Prizm that she drove to her favorite cities and events.
She leaves to cherish her memories: three sons, Tre Goodman, De'Angelo Miller and Augarius Williams, all of Meridian, MS; her mother, Fayette Miller of Meridian, MS; her father, Benjamin Alford of Enterprise, MS; two brothers, Freeman (Detra) Miller of Newman, GA and Jasper (Briggit) Miller of Cuba, AL; four sisters, Mary Williams of Meridian, MS, Jerra (Derrick) James of Charlotte, NC, Veronica Cook of Rose Hill, MS and Erica Evans of Gulfport, MS; five uncles, four aunts, a very special aunt, Shirley O'Neil and special cousins, Demetria (ReeRee) Clark, Victor Clark, Vernita Hubbard, Recardo Price and Collette Taska as well as a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends that will miss her dearly.
