Mrs. Catherine Barnes' Obituary
Ms. Catherine "Tut" Barnes was born on February 14, 1955, to the late Leartine "Tina" Pringle and late James Barnes, Sr in Lexington, Mississippi. She was the eldest sibling of twelve children, seven girls and five boys. She peacefully departed this life on November 9, 2022 at Anderson Regional Hospital in Meridian, Mississippi with her siblings at her side. "Tut" was a caring and loving daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She was known to her family and friends as a genuine person and to know her was to love her. She enjoyed life and spending time with family and friends. "Tut" was a graduate of the Southeast High Class of 1973. After graduation she attended business school located in Meridian, Mississippi. For many faithful years, she worked in the hotel industry providing an essential service. "Tut" was preceded in death by her parents (Leartine Pringle & James Barnes, Sr.), her siblings (Rosie Jane Barnes, James Barnes, Jr, Eddie Earl Pringle, Arthur Lee Pringle, Jr) and her aunt (Pearl Lee). She leaves to cherish her precious memories: two brothers; Lee Porter Haywood ( Chicago, IL); David Lee (Maxine) Pringle (Russell, MS); six sisters; Corine Pringle (Russell, MS), Elizabeth (Kenneth) Pringle-Hornsby (Irvine, CA), Tania Lynn (Michael) Brown (Daleville, MS), Roxanne Pringle (Gary Emerson) (Russell, MS), Lashonda (Raymond) Phillips (Dallas, TX), Wanda Davis (Memphis, TN). A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
