Mrs. Catherine Hanible-Hayes' Obituary
Catherine Hanible-Haynes was born on April 7, 1927 to the late Lenard and Annie Hanible. She departed this earthly life on Friday, April 27, 2012 at The Oaks Nursing facility in Meridian. She attended T.J. Harris High School. She worked as a home health nurse for a number of years. Catherine joined El Bethel Missionary Baptist Church at an early age where she was a very active member. She had a passion and love of visiting the sick and the shut in. She leaves to cherish her memories,four sons: Mitchell (Fannie) Hanible, Lenard (Adeline) Hanible, Kerry (Rose) Haynes, and George Haynes; all of Meridian, MS one daughter: Annie Catherine (Willie) Thomas of Chicago, IL; one stepdaughter, Deloris (James) Reid of Meridian, MS; two stepsisters Elise Manning and Vera Ryan sixteen grandchildren; thirty-three great grandchildren; and six great great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, and one special goddaughter Ceal Brown. She was preceded in death by her husband (Percy "POPS" Haynes), one son (Jerry), one grandson (Richard), and a brother (George).
