Mr. Charles Levon Conners' Obituary
Charles Levon Conners departed this life on October 11, 2016 at Anderson Regional Medical Center with his devoted wife at his side. Mr. Conners was born on July 10, 1948 to the late C.B. Conners and Mrs. Carrie Davis. Charles attended Shirley Owens High School. He joined the United States Army in 1968 and fought in the Vietnam War where he was a Sharpshooter and earned a Purple Heart. Charles was later employed at Chrysler Motor Company in Kenosha, WI. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and his love of life. Charles battled cancer in his later years which he finally succumbed to. During his fight he kept his spirits up and joked until his last hour. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Verta Conners his mother Carrie (Ester) Davis seven sons Travian, Shaunta, Damien, Cleveland, Rico, Tracy, and Adrien, three daughters Boutique, Terese, and Joi. Two sisters Velma Haze and Sandra (Earl) Taylor and two brothers Bobby (Peggy) Conners and Donald Ray Conners. Four daughter-in-laws Tracie, Celeste, Christina and Veronica and two son-in-laws Slater and Anthony. Special aunts Ruth Healy and Bernice Wrancher, a special niece LaTonia Bonner and many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends and relatives. He is preceded in death by his father C.B. Conners. Grandparents, Oliver Sr. and Alice Wainwright. Aunts, Alma Overstreet, Carolyn Hand, and Ora Lee Portis. Uncles Oliver Wainwright Jr., Edsel Wainwright, Roosevelt Wainwright, Cecil Wainwright Jr., and Dan Ray.
