Mr. Charles Holloway III's Obituary
On October 21, 1962, a boy was born to the late Charles H. Holloway Jr. and Dorothy M. Holloway whom was named after his father and given the name Charles Howard Holloway III. He was the middle sibling of 5 boys. Charles was a high school and college graduate. Graduating from Meridian High School in 1980, Charles went on to college. He attended Rust College from 1980-1989 obtaining a degree in Business Administration. While attending college, in 1982, he became a member of the Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity which became a major part of his life story. Marrying his sweetheart, Esther F. Holloway July 3, 1984 and having his first child and son, Marques D. Holloway days later on July 9, 1984. They then went on and had two more children in 1986 and 1989 by the names of Tamekia R. Holloway and Charles H. Holloway IV to add to their new family. Charles moved his family to SC for a short while, then went on to settle in Atlanta, GA in 1994. While in Atlanta, Charles manages a distribution center for 6 years along with a host of other jobs and business ventures. He coached basketball as an adult and kept all of his kids active and in sports. Living in Atlanta was not it for him so he relocated back to Meridian and was a pest control technician for 10 years before attempting to start his independent business. Charles do not stop there and was a very persistent, dedicated, hard working young man who was dedicated to taking care of his family. He also went back to MCC in 2009 to obtain certifications in 2009 computer basics, 2010 Forklift Operation, and 2011 HVAC and was always striving to know more and excel.
Charles was a faithful member of St. Paul United Methodist Church following his grandparents and parents. He had been preceded in death by: his grandparents; father, Charles H. Holloway Jr.; and two brothers: Michael Harrington and Matthew Holloway. He leaves to cherish: his mother, Dorothy Holloway; wife, 3 children, 12 grandchildren, cousins, and a host of family and friends.
