Mr. Charles Johnson's Obituary
Mr. Edward "Charles" Johnson was born on May 11, 1950 to the late Mr. John L. Johnson and Mrs. Coran Johnson. He accepted Christ as his Savior at an early age and joined Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. J T Hall. Charles (as he was known by family and friends) was a 1969 graduate of T J Harris High School. He was a vivid football fan. He was a true Jackson State Tiger, Alabama Roll Tide and Meridian High Wildcat fan. He was a faithful and dedicated member of Mt. Zion where he served as the Chairman of the Trustee Board until his death. Regardless of his health Charles would make his way to Mt. He would always share and kept candy, chips, cakes and etc. in his truck that he would share with everyone. He was employed by Young Construction until his health began to fail. Charles leaves to cherish his precious memories his mother: Mrs. Coran Johnson, his devoted wife of 41 years, Carol Ann Johnson; one son, Darrin Radcliff (Nichole); one step son, Ryan Kennedy; five grandchildren, Matthew, Dariana, Dynasty, Emma, Darrin Jr.; one sister, Linda Kelley (Mitchell) and one brother, John Johnson (Mary Jo); a mother in-law, Mrs. Catherine Shepperd; one brother in-law, Eric Shepperd (Tameka) and special friends, Albertha Parker, Charlie Brooks, Ralph (Nilanne) Young, and Richard (Allison) Young.
