Mr. Charlie D. Love's Obituary
Charlie Love, age 94 of Meridian, MS passed away on May 26, 2021 after a brief illness. Charlie Love retired from the Meridian Naval Air Station in 1986. He was well known for his mixology and culinary services for the Meridian Little Theater, Northwood Country Club, NAS Officer’s Club as well as the Titanic, Boxcar and Roundtable Investment Clubs; and, for numerous private residential clients throughout the city. He is survived by his wife (of 74 years) Mattie Love; 4 daughters, Reola (Phillip) Daniels of Meridian; Ivenue (William Stanley III) Love-Stanley of Atlanta, GA; Nettie (Allen) Weaver of New Rochelle, NY; and Mattie (Charles – deceased) Thurman of Rochester, NY; 4 grandchildren (and 1 deceased); and, 4 great-grandchildren.
Viewing, Thursday June 3rd from 5-6PM at Berry & Gardner Chapel. Homegoing Service, Friday June 4th at 11AM on the lawn of St. Paul UMC. Masks are required.
In lieu of flowers/plants, the family respectfully requests that contributions be made to St. Paul UMC (2700 13th Street, 39301) in the name of Charlie and Mattie Love.
