Mrs. Christine Yvette Gainey's Obituary
Christine Yvette Gainey was Ron March 4, 1971 to Carol Hill-Clayton in Chicago, IL. She was a graduate of Meridian High School. On March 6, 1988, she married the late Timmy Lee Gainey, Sr. In 2003, she relocated to Memphis, TN where she was employed at Eye Spectrum as a insurance clerk. She was baptized into Christ on June 21, 2015 at Olive Creek Church of Christ. Christine “Chrissy” made a lasting impression on everyone she met. She was preceded in death by her father, Joe Willie Clayton; grandmother, Minnie Friend; aunt, Sarah Hampton; and loving husband, Timmy Lee Gainey, Sr.
She leaves to cherish her mother, Caro Clayton; three sons, Delandre LaKeith Clayton and Timmy Lee Gainey, Jr. (Brittany) of Memphis, TN and Derrick Deshawn Gainey of Ita Bena, MS; three brothers, Andre Clayton of Chicago, IL; Joe Willie and Willie B. Clayton of Ohio; four sisters, Joann Clayton of Ohio, Joyce Clayton-Boyd (John), Carrie Clayton-Brown (Jelani) and Christina Clayton (Johnny) of Meridian, MS; two aunts, Shirley R. Nicholson and Cathy B. Hill of Meridian, MS; two God sisters, Donna Blanks and Brenda F, Ezell of Meridian, MS and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces & nephews, cousins and friends.
