Mrs. Clara Edna Williams' Obituary
Clara (Madea) Williams was born in Meridian, MS on the twenty third day of June in the year 1933. She was the only daughter of the late Celeste Ward and Allan Johnson. She would be raised by her grandmother Jessie(Mamma Jessie) Ward. Clara married James E Williams of Meridian, MS. Their union would span nearly 50yrs until James preceded her in death. Clara was faithful church goer and personified the principle of her church; living a Holy Life. Each person she came to know can tell you she exemplified the motto "what's mine is yours". Whether you were a stranger or "kin-folk", she never hesitated to offer you a plate of food and a place to rest. Clara dedicated her life to the well being of her family, interceding when and where she was needed. Clara (Madea) was well known in the community as a kind woman with a big grin and an even bigger heart. She &,pent many days sitting on her front porch, waving at passers-by, and sharing stories of her life experiences. She told family members that when it was her time to depart this Earth, "It was well with her Soul." She is survived by her son; James Arthur(late Joy Lou) Williams, daughters; Shirley (Kennith)Inge, Cynthia(Willie )Blanks, and Jovita Williams (adopted daughter); grandchildren James Williams Jr, Jerry Williams, Terry(Brittany) Williams, Kenny D(Tiari) Williams, the late Latonya Williams, Kennith(Monique) Inge, Kefentse(Chris) Inge, Chiketta(Keytonia)McClendon, Chassity(Nick)Greer and Willie C Blanks; a host of beloved great grandchildren & great great grandchildren; sister in laws Richleen Sloan & Pinkie Mae Jordan; brother in laws Robert Williams & Edgar (Sylvia) Williams, Jr.
