Mrs. Clarice D. Davis' Obituary
Clarice D. Davis was born on June 1, 1939 to James and Mary Lee Davis in Quitman, Mississippi. Both parents preceded her in death. The angel of mercy visited her at her home on May 17, 2015. At an early age, Clarice joined Center Ridge Baptist Church. She retired from the Quitman Consolidated School District and pursued her passion in cooking. She loved to cook and was well known for being an excellent cook. Clarice truly enjoyed putting a smile on the faces of those that she encountered. She lived a simple and easy going life. Her family and close friends have often said, "Clarice gave much and asked for very little in return". As an adult, she joined Shady Grove A.M.E. Church where she was a member until her passing. Clarice was united in holy matrimony to Joe Louis Davis and to this union one wonderful child was born: Willie James Davis. Joe preceded her in death. Clarice leaves to mourn and cherish her memories: five sons, Willie James Davis of Orlando, Florida, Bobby Joe Davis of Dallas, Texas, Michael Adul' Ali (Veronica) of Brandon, Mississippi, Tommy Davis (Robin) of Los Angeles, California, and Shelton Davis (Miranda) of Fayetteville, North Carolina; one sister Audie Farell (Walter) Birmingham, Alabama; two brothers Elijah Davis of Birmingham, Alabama and Namon Davis of Quitman, Mississippi. She had 13 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
