Mr. Cleo Stevenson's Obituary
Cleo Louis Stevenson (Grandmama's baby) was born January 3, 1934. He attended Mt. Salem United Methodist Church with Grandmama where he professed Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. He attended Wechsler Elementary School and graduated from T. J. Harris High School in Meridian, MS. He was drafted in 1956 where he served his country in the United States Army and the Army Reserve. He gave a total of six (6) years to serving his country with honor and dignity. He united in Holy Matrimony to Mildred F. Stevenson and they were blessed with 2 wonderful children. They shared 56 years of marriage together.
He departed this life on May 20, 2019. He was preceded in death by his grandmother (Mama), Florence Price Stevenson; parents, Clemmie and Carrie Lora Edwards grandfather, Thomas Jefferson Stevenson; brother-in-law, Alvin Adams; aunts and uncles: Maggie McDonald, Booker Stevenson, Mary Leatha McDonald, Lucy Teresa Spann and Jeff Stevenson.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Mildred F. Stevenson; one (1) son, Michael Franklin; one (1) daughter, Mildred D. Stevenson, Manuel Keyes; two (2) granddaughters, W'yeshua D. Stevenson and PV2 MuRandle M.C. Robinson of Fort Sill, Oklahoma; two (2) sisters, Carrie (Willie) Adams and Easter D. Adams; cousins who were more like sisters and brothers: Bobbie Jean Wilson, Willie Lester Stevenson, Annie Gladys Walker, Margie Hunter, Roberts Stevenson (deceased) and Lee Chester McDonald (deceased); a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
