Mr. Clifton Douglas Terrell's Obituary
Mr. Clifton Douglas Terrell was born October 3, 1964 to Louis Terrell and Frankie Marie Glaspie in Laurel, MS. Clifton, was called to his eternal home on December 29, 2022 at Ochsner Watkins Hospital in Quitman, MS. Clifton is preceded in death by his twin brother, Cleveland Charles Terrell, his father Louis Terrell, his daddy, James "Nick" Glaspie and his maternal grandparents, Douglas and Frankie Knight, and paternal grandparents, George and Amelia Terrell, one sister, Sandra Terrell and one nephew, Douglas Terrell.
Twin, as he was affectionately known, graduated from Quitman High School, Class of 1984. After attending school, Nick, took Clifton under his wings and trained him as a truck driver. He strayed away to pursue other adventures such as off shore drilling, overseas oil field in south Africa, and on land drilling in F ourshon, Louisiana. But he couldn't shake his passion for over the road truck driving. Clifton was employed with a couple of trucking companies including owning his own truck. Upon his death, he was employed with Southeast Logistics in Tuscaloosa, AL, formerly known as CCross in Shubuta, MS. He was well known in the trucking business as "Strictly Business". Clifton has the utmost respect for his manager, Mr. David West and his dispatcher, Jesse C~avez. In 1987, Clifton met and fell in love with the love of his life, Mary Sterling. After dating for 10 years, they knew they were soulmates and was married on December 31, 1997. There they became as one. Together, they raised three children: T'Keyla, DeAngelo and Mariano. The love for hunting, fishing, four-wheeling and his f'amily was his favorite past time.
Left to cherish his memories are: his devoted wife, Mary Sterling Terrell; a loving mother, Frankie Marie Glaspie, both of Shubuta, MS; two sons, DeAngelo Terrell of Shubuta, MS and Mariano (Shalena) Jones of Wiggins, MS; one daughter, T'Keyla Howard of Shubuta, MS; Mother-in-law, Carrie Sterling of Quitman, MS; three brothers, Gregory (Annie) Terrell ofVossburg, MS, Frankie (Glinnis) Terrell of Houma, LA and Jeff Evans of St. Mary Community Quitman, MS; five sisters, Sonia Terrell of Shubuta, MS, Florence Terrell of Houston, TX, Sylvia Holder of West Windsor, NC, Seoritha (Eddie) Brafley of Lilburn, GA, and Derida McCarty of Jackson, MS; six grandsons, Keylan, McKinley, Kernel, Kelzic, Jaleel and Evan; three granddaughters, Aaliya, Casey and Karlee (all whom called him "Big Daddy"); four aunts, Bennie (Thomas), Mamie, Shirley and Carolyn; one brother-in-law, Charlie Sterling of Quitman, MS; eight sisters-in-law, Georgia, Diane, Rosie (Ronnie), Patricia, Evon, Michelle (Keith), LaCal and Alice; three godchildren, Cameron, Ameiah and Amari; one Iii buddy, Tristen Terrell, a host of nieces and nephews (whom through the years he acted as though he was their daddy, other relatives and friends; very special friends, Melvin and Bettye Nelson, Earlie and Andrea Davis, Ronnie and Rosie Lockhart, Carol Jones, Quint & the CR 260 Crew and the neighbors of CR 2661.
