Mr. Clinton Leroy Davis' Obituary
Clinton Leroy Davis, well known as "Lee Love", was born May 8, 1954 at St. Joseph Hospital to Clinton and Mary S. Davis in Meridian, MS. At an early age, Clinton confessed Christ as his Lord and Savior. He attended Pilgrim Progress Baptist Church where he served as a Trustee. Clinton attended St. Joseph Catholic School and Meridian Public School Systems. He graduated from Meridian High School in 1972. He continued his education at Meridian Junior College where he studied Radio Communication. He was united in Holy matrimony to Lorene Ruffin and was married for 41 years. To this union two children were born, Jacinda Vanetta Davis and Clinton Jerel Davis. "Lee Love" as he was called, worked as a Radio Personality and a Disc Jockey for many years. He worked at the following stations: WTNK, WQlC, WSLI, and WALT. While moonlighting as a DJ he also worked at East Mississippi State Hospital for over 25 years. He retired in May of 2017. Clinton loved music and fishing. Clinton Leroy made his transition on Wednesday, September 26, 2018. He leaves to join his parents, Clinton and Mary Davis, grandparents, Finley and Addie Stevenson, step-mom, Dorine Holliday (Dot), mother-in-law, Sally Ruffin; brothers, Larry Davis, Larry Dell and Jimmy Clark. He leaves to cherished his memories his wife Lorene Davis, daughter, Jacinda Vanetta Davis, a son, Clinton Jerel (D'anisia) Davis; three brothers, Willie (Linda) Davis, Cedrick Clark, Terrell Clark; four sisters, Addie Marie Perry, Brenda (Freddie) Johnson, Debra Lynn (Juan), Patricia Ann Clark; five grandchildren, Adanyjah D. Watts, Alyjah M. Watts, Tyshawn Jerel Davis, TraShawn Clinton Davis and Tristan K. Heidelberg; in-laws, Della (Rev, J. R.) Jennings, Betty McClinton, Larry Ruffin, Mary Ruffin-Atterberry and Teresa Wiggins; a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
