Mrs. Corine Carter McConnell's Obituary
Mother Corine Carter McConnell was born on September 26, 1929 in Porterville, Mississippi to the late Turner and Lena Carter.
She attended New Beginning Vision Church, until her health failed. She was a faithful Mother of the Church, and a member of the Keys Chapel United Methodist Church Choir where she held the office of choir president. Her passion was cooking. She worked in the dietary department at Rush Hospital until she retired. She loved her family and church family, but most of all she loved God. Heaven has truly gained a great angel.
She departed this life on April 14, 2024, at the blessed age of
94. She leaves to cherish her memory: a loving son, Floyd
(Louella) McConnell of Forest, MS; three daughters, Evelyn (James) Dean, Earnestine (Johnny) Roberts and Glovis Clark all of Meridian, MS; four sisters, Velma Wells of Itta Bena, MS, Minnie Carter and Marilyn Shields of Meridian, MS and Ethel Miller of Madison, MS; two brothers, Willie I. Carter of Meridian, MS and Johnny Carter of Eustis, Florida. A host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives ad friends.
She is preceded in death by: one daughter, Lula Mae
gh. McConnell; one son, Jessie McConnell, Jr.; and two sisters, ut Birtharene Dean and Dorothy Jean Carter.
