Ms. Crystal Jean Brown's Obituary
Crystal Jean Brown was born on November 14, 1963 in Meridian, Mississippi to the late Luther Smith and Emma Pearl Harold Brown. She accepted Christ as her personal savior at an early age.
Crystal graduated from Meridian High School in 1981. After working in the Meridian area for several years, she relocated to San Antonio, Texas.
While in Texas, Crystal joined the Army National Guard Reserves. While serving in the Guard, she was
activated and fought in Desert Storm. After returning to her unit in Texas, she chose to resign from the Guard and pursue other paths in life.
Crystal attended college in the area and worked in the Food Service Industry for several years at Delta Food Service Company. After returning to Meridian to help take care of her ailing mother, she worked several part-time positions until her health declined causing her to end all employment.
Crystal traveled quite a bit during her lifetime and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Her favorite sports team was the San Antonio Spurs.
Crystal worked very hard when it came to her service for the Lord. She tried daily to follow Gods' guidance and His commands. She was a dedicated member of First Apostolic Church of Meridian.
Crystal was preceded in death by her parents Luther Smith and Emma Harold Brown, and two brothers Dallas Brown and David Brown.
She leaves a lifetime of memories to be cherished by her brothers, Graylin Brown (Jessie) and Robert Smith; sisters, Glenda Farve (Joseph), Jacquelyn Brown, Sylvia Applon, Cassandra Atterberry, and Debra Johnson (Bobby); sister/cousin, Yolanda Spencer (Michael) of Meridian; paternal aunts, Virginia Darby (Joseph), Hiawatha Satcher (Tony), Henrietta Goodwin, and Gloria Jone; and one uncle, Andrew Gray (JoAnn) of Stonewall. She also leaves a host of cousins, and nephews and nieces whom adored her because she spoiled and doted on them every opportunity she could. She was their friend, confi-dante, counselor and if need be, as well as their partner-in-crime.
While we mourn the loss of our dear Crystal, we find comfort in the beautiful memories that we shared with her and the lasting impact she made on our lives. Her spirit will live on in our hearts forever.
