Mr. D.L. Richardson's Obituary
Bro D. L. Richardson began his life on March 20, 1940 to the late Bro. Claiborne and Sis. Hattie Brown Richardson. He was a devoted farmer and also a hard worker for Celotex for 39 years. Bro. D. L. Richardson confessed Christ in August 1990 and joined the Sumterville Missionary Baptist Church where he remained faithful until his illness. On Wednesday March 15, 2017 he departed his life peacefully at his residence. He was preceded in death by five brothers: Claiborne Jr., Clyde, Clewis, Willie Richardson and Solomon Thomas and one sister Betty Jean Bell. He leaves to cherish his memories his devoted wife, Mattie Lee Richardson of 54 years. To this union they had three daughters: Barbara (Donnie) Andrews, Annette Richardson, and Arenetter (Isreal) Moore all of Emelle, AL. He also leaves to cherish his memories: one other daughter Cathy Lockett of Tuscaloosa, AL. and one son John Lacey of Gainesville, AL; six grandchildren LaTonya, Raven, Emily, Ashley, Isreal and Joseph; three great grandchildren: laPorsha, Chassidy, and Zauri; one brother: Jesse Richardson of Pontiac, Michigan and two sisters: Clara Lucky of Chicago, IL. and Barbara Young of Pontiac Ml; two sister-in-laws: Sharon Smoot of Dallas, TX and Beatrice (Clady) Jones of Emelle, AL; three brother-in-laws: Henry Thompson, Isaiah (Joyce Ann) Thompson of Lewisburgh, TN and Tim (Jill) Smoot of Flint, Ml; a loving and devoted mother-in-law: Mary Gee of Emelle, AL and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who loved him dearly.
