Mr. David Frank Baylor's Obituary
Mr. David Frank Baylor was born on November 17, 1946 to the late Florence McClendon and Isiah Baylor in Porterville, MS. He departed this life on February 15, 2018 at Rush Foundation Hospital. David accepted Christ as his Savior at a young age and continued with his daily devotions with God until sickness stopped him from doing so. He had a love and passion for the game of baseball and started numerous teams that went on to win many championship games. David moved to Hernando, MS where he worked for the Desoto County Water & Waste Management Department for over 30 years. He retired from his job due to health complications. He moved to Meridian in April 2017 to be closer to his Meridian family. He lived life to the fullest and never met a stranger. He leaves to cherish his memories 3 children by Lucille Smith namely James Smith, Jessie Smith and Terrell Smith all of Hernando, MS, Kerry Baylor and Wanda Parnell of Meridian, MS, three sisters Joann McClendon, Amy Chamberlin and Ann Mathis (SK), two brothers Tony Baylor and Major Baylor all of Meridian, MS, a very special companion that he called his good thing Ms. Margaret Ann Mitchell, a sister-in-law Mary Baylor, a special niece Tina Moore and many grandchildren, nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. He was proceeded in death by his mother Florence McClendon, father Isiah Baylor, five brothers Willie James Baylor, Waller Earl Baylor, Robert Baylor, Tommie Lee Baylor and Herman Baylor, sister Erma Humphrey and a son David Smith.
