Mr. David Harden Sr.'s Obituary
David Harden Sr. was born in Culloden, Georgia to parents, Bennie L. Harden, Sr. and Arlena F. Harden. He was a star high school football player and graduated high school 1965. After graduation, David joined U.S. Navy lacer chat year and served in Naval aviation as a jet engine mechanic and on the flight crew. He also performed duries as a counselor and instructor. David : retired ar the rank of E7, Aviation Machinist Mare Chief Petry Officer. After retirement, he continued his professional career as a JROTC instructor at West Lauderdale High School and as a VA counselor and hospital administrator. David was passionately involved in the Baptist ministry and served as a pastor. He was known as a very nice dresse1·. He loved sports cars and is an avid Corvette owner. David had a love for helping others and while living in Atlanta, he had his own food bank to help the needy . . Had a very strong love for family but was strict and firm. He moved back to Meridian in December 2018. David was preceded in death by his father, Bennie L. Harden, Sr.; his mother, Arlena Harden; two brothers, John H. Harden and Bennie L. Harden, Jr.; and son, Terry Harden. He is survived by sons Anthony K. Harden of Bailey, MS; David (Roseanna) Harden, Jr. of Canton, GA; daughter, Monica (Lowell) Wallace of Meridian, MS; son, Jason Harden; sisters, Nellie Harris of Indian Head, MD and Cyd (Joseph) Powell of Stockbridge, Georgia; brother, Thomas Wayne Harden of Bailey, MS; his grandchildren, a great-grandchild and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
