Mr. David Lavon Sumrall, Sr.'s Obituary
David Lavon Sumrall, Sr. was born April 17, 1963 to the late Robert, Sr. and Zipora Sumrall. He parted his life on Friday morning, January 18, 2013 in Quitman, MS. Born into the family of God; he was a member of East DeSoto Church of God and served as deacon and Sunday School Superintendent. He attended and served faithfully until the Lord called him home. David was a self-employed Brick Mason, a passionate gardener and fisherman. David was united in holy matrimony to Flora Conner on June 30, 1984. To this union was born two children, Delysia Da'Vonne Sumrall and David Lavon Sumrall, Jr. He leaves · to celebrate his home going, a loving wife, Flora Sumrall, one daughter Delysia Da'Vonne Sumrall. Two grandsons, Zandraious Windham and Zachary Sumrall. Five sisters, Annie Mae Davis (Gulfport, MS), Ceola Davis, Dora (Advial) McKenzie (Quitman, MS), Carolyn Sumrall (DeSoto, MS), and Cassandra Sumrall (Ridgeland, MS). Four brothers, Artice (Betty) Sumrall and Sylvester (Edwina) Sumrall (Saucier, MS), Douglas Sumrall (Meridian, MS), and Booker (Renee) Sumrall, Sr. (Ridgeland, MS). He also leaves Bro. Peter Chester and Sis. Alee Hopson (Spiritual mentors), a host of aunts, uncles, sister and brother in laws, nieces, nephews, family and friends to (:herish his memories. He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert, Sr. and Zipora Sumrall, his son David Lavon Sumrall, Jr., one sister Eloise and two brothers Robert, Jr. and Terry Sumrall.
