Mr. David Terrell, Jr.'s Obituary
Mr. David Terrell, Jr. was born in New Orleans, LA on March 26, 1952 to the late David Terrell, Sr. (who died December 19, 1981) and the late Evelyn Terrell (who died in 1963). He departed this life on December 19, 2018 at his residence in Cleveland, OH. He dedicated his life to Christ at an early age and was baptized at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church.
David received his education at Middleton Attendance Center in Meridian, MS. Upon completing his education, he joined the United States Air Force where he fought in the Vietnam war. After returning home he joined the Air National Guard at Meridian’s Key Field, followed by finishing up his military career in the United States Army. During this time, he married Maxine Thomas-Davis and from this union came two children.
He was a true outdoorsman and enjoyed Fishing, hunting, and reading the Bible. He also had a great love for Motown Music.
He was preceded in death by his parents David and Evelyn Terrell, one baby sister Eliza Terrell, a nephew, Kevin Spencer and a niece Joyce Marie Spencer.
David will be eternally remembered by his six children; Turkessa (Adrian) Terrell Evans, Veronica (Joedale, Jr.) Terrell Armstrong, and step daughter Jessica Hogan all of Dallas, TX, Isaiah, Ahmonte, and Gabriella Terrell all of Cleveland, OH; seven grandchildren; Derek and Jaylen Terrell, Adrian Evans, Jr., Donovan R. Keeton, Olivia, Joedale III, and Victory Grace Armstrong all of Dallas, TX.
He also leaves to cherish his memory four sisters; Elaine Terrell of Cleveland, OH, Audrey Spencer of Atlanta, GA, Maxine Thomas of Meridian, MS, and Sharlene (Robert) Gamble of Cleveland, OH; three brothers Otis, Sr. and Bobby Gowdy and Robert Terrell all of Meridian, MS as well as a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
