Ms. Deborah Kay Pickett-Irby's Obituary
Sister Deborah “Debbie” Kay Pickett-Irby was born June 19, 1968 in Meridian, Mississippi to Ethel Mae Pickett and the late Raymond Irby Sr. She departed this I’ve to be with the Lord on January 24, 2016.
Deborah accepted Christ at an early age. She attended Pilgrim Baptist Church and was baptized as a youth. She later enjoyed worshipping atHarvest Ministries and Total Truth Ministries in Meridian, Mississippi. Sister Deborah graduated from Meridian High School. She was kind, gentle, and loving. She had a generous heart, always giving to others. Deborah’s trademark was her smile.
She was preceded in death by her father, Raymond Irby Sr; grandmother, Lula Bell Irby; and aunts; Flora Butchee, and Pearlie Mae Pickett.
Sister Deborah is survived by her one (1) and only son, De’ontra Pickett, whose she loved dearly. He was her life. She leaves to cherish her loving memories: mother, Ethel Mae Pickett; two (2) sisters: Brenda Ann Pickett-Irby (Willie) and Juanita Pickett-Irby; one (1) brother, Raymond Pickett-Irby Jr, all of Columbus, OH; a host of half sisters and one (1) brother of Meridian, MS; nieces: Ashley, Whitney and Shanbrika; nephews: Cedrick and Denterrell, all of Columbus, OH; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
