Ms. Dee Whigham's Obituary
Dee Whigham was born on April 28, 1991 to Dennis Whigham and Vickie Blakney Whigham. At an early age Dee united with Bethel United Methodist Church and was a faithful member of the choir. After attending Quitman High School, Dee went on to receive a GED and through toil and perseverance earned an Associate's Degree in Nursing from Meridian Community College in December 2015. Dec's passion for nursing was evident in the care given to patients as a CNA at Rush Hospital and Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian, Mississipp; as well as the loving care given to patients as a Registered Nurse at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, Mississippi from January 2016 to present. Some knew DJ. Some knew Dee. Some were fortunate to have known both. Dee was a child, sibling, relative, and friend to many. Dee's love of life was shown through the bright smile and bubbly personality that greeted everyone. Dee truly enjoyed life and lived life to the fullest. To know Dee was to love Dee. Dec was preceded in death by a grandmother, Lula Mae Blakney and an uncle, Charles Blakney. Dee departed this life Sunday, July 23, 2016, in St. Martin, Mississippi.
