Mrs. Doll Beatrice Coleman's Obituary
Doll Beatrice Coleman (Bea) was born on January 23, 1925 in Meridian, Mississippi to the late Wilmer and Minnie Lewis. She had eight sisters and brothers all preceded her in death. She attended Vimville School District. She accepted Christ at an early age and joined Pleasant Grove Methodist Church. She later joined Zion Hill CME Methodist Church and was a faithful member until her health declined. She worked at various jobs, including Whittakers Restaurant, Red Hot Truck Stop and Brian wood Country Club where she retired. Bea as she was affectionately called by family loved cooking baked goods pies were her specialty. She met no strangers, always lending a helping hand to family and friends when needed. Reading the Bible daily, spending time with family, she had a great sense of humor. She married Robert Smith Sr. ( deceased) and to this union Robert Smith Jr. and Minnie Simms were born. Later, she married Pete Coleman, ( deceased). She leaves to cherish her memory a loving and devoted son Robert Smith Jr. of Los Angeles, Ca and a daughter Minnie Simms of Urbana, IL. She had four grandchildren-Celeste Renee Smith, Michael Simms of Urbana, IL, Vonetta Lajoy Smith, Robert Smith Jr. 2nd of Los Angeles, Ca. 1\vo great grandsons-Darian Wesley of Urbana, IL and Robert James Smith of Los Angeles, Ca, and one cousin Cebron Matthews of Sandusky, Oh. Three nieces-Demarce and Diane Lewis of Columbia, Mo and Carrie Carter of Urbana, IL, four great nieces-Sheila, Teresa and Wanda Joyce Cro'well of Meridian and Pricilla Crowell of Magee, Mississippi, Adopted son-James Harper of St. Louis, Mo and a great nephew-Raymond Crowell of Los Angeles, Ca, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
