Mr. Donald Coleman, Sr.'s Obituary
Donald Coleman, Sr., better known as "Dusty", was born on November 22, 1952 in DeKalb, MS, Kemper County, to Mr. Breland and Mozell Westerfield Coleman and was raised by Mrs. Dora and Threefoot Cole as their own. Donald "Dusty" departed this earthly life on February 23, 2022 at Popular Spring Nursing Center, Meridian, MS. Donald was baptized at an early age at Mt. Zion U. M. Church and remained a faithful member until some health issues. He served as a trustee, finance committee chairperson. He and Mr. W. H. Steele implemented the plans to build Mt. Zion Fellowship Hall with other members. Donald attended George Washington Carver and Neshoba Central High School. Donald met and then married the love of his life, Glenda "Ann" Clark where they had two children. He also had a daughter Kartrese Carter. He was employed by U. S. Motors for over 25 years. In the community he was a member of the Longdale Brave Baseball team, and member of the Longdale Hunting Club and he always wanted to help the community in any way necessary. He was preceded in death by his wife, Glenda "Ann" Coleman; his parents, Breland and Mozell Coleman; Dora and Curtis Threefoot Cole, one daughter, Kartrese Carter; one sister, Jacqueline Parks; and one brother, Jones Fred Cole. His memories are left to be cherished by his loving sons, Donald (Tawanna) Coleman, Jr. of Chelsea, AL and Lorenzo Coleman of Jacksonville, FL; five brothers, John (Shirley) Cole of DeKalb, MS, Lavell (Janie) Coleman of Philadelphia, MS, Virgil (Mary) Coleman of Little Rock, AR, Carl (Sandra) Coleman of Lauderdale, MS and Brian (Shelia) Coleman of Nashville, TN; three sisters, Alpha Pearl Williams of Staten Island, NY, Candra Coleman (Alex) Brookshire of Fort Wayne, IN and Essie Gamble of Meridian, MS; five grandchildren, one great-grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
