Mrs. Dorothy Brewster's Obituary
Dorothy Jean Bailey Brewster, our dear mother, gained her wings on March 28th at the age of 76. She accepted Christ at an early age where she attended New Prospect Baptist Church (Meridian, MS) and later moved her membership to New Prospect Missionary Baptist Church (Savoy, MS).
Dorothy was a sweet, very strong, hardworking, classy, and outspoken woman. She was a Harris High School Graduate of the “Class of 1965”, the lead majorette of the band and sung in the choir.
She was also employed at Peavey’s for over 30 years where she retired.
Dorothy has gone on to join her parents the late Viola ad Ozzie Lee Bailey; siblings: Annie Laura Brown, Edna Nix, and “Tootie”; late husband, Frank Brewster; and late son, Rolandus Bailey.
Dorothy is survived by her daughters, Sabrina Bailey Mobley (Howard) and Cassandra Hopkins, both residing in Meridian, MS; and her son, Carlos Hopkins (Patricia) residing in Chesapeake, VA.
Dorothy leaves to cherish: 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren; 2 nieces, and 1 nephew. Also, a special friend, Mr. Hewwett.
