Ms. Dorothy Ransom Naylor's Obituary
Was born on September 1, 1928 to the late Lee Mathis and Alice Mae Wilson, in Fayette County, Al. She confessed Christ at an early age and joined the 1st Baptist Church, in Fayette, Al. She attended Fayette County School. At the age of thirteen was joined in Holy Matrimony to the late Mr Chester Ransom, and to this union seven Children were born; two preceded in death, after a few years in Georgia, and Florida she relocate to Mississippi, where she fail in love with the area and made it her home. Ms Dot was a very strong independent woman, who worked very hard. Later years she met and married Mr Will Naylor. Ms Dot was a faithful member of Mt Carmel Baptist Church, Lauderdale, Ms, where she remained until death, she served as Sunday School Teacher, Choir Director, Usher, and later Mother of the Church. She departed this life, on Sunday October 9, 2016 at the Poplar Spring Nursing Home Hospice, Meridian, Ms .. She leaves to cherish her wonderful memories three (3) daughters Alice Faye (Rev Grover) Mosley, and Sarah Nell (Ozzie) Thomas both of Russell, Ms, Rosie Mae Ransom (Patrick)Two (2) sons Leroy (Georgia) Ransom, and Chester Jr (Mary) Ransom both of Lauderdale, Ms. Fifteen grand children, five step grand children, twenty six great grand children, nieces, nephews, cousins. Special cousin Mr Jimmy Hughes Preceding her in death two sons George and Chester Lee, one grand son LaDaniel, mother, father, sister, brother and both husbands.
