Mrs. Dorothy Wallace Shelborne's Obituary
To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.
Dorothy L. Wallace Shelborne was born January 10, 1938 in Quitman, Mississippi. She made the transition from this life on Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at her home in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Dorothy attended public schools in Quitman, Mississippi. As a young adult, Dorothy moved to Mobile, Alabama where she met and married Charles “Teddy” Shelborne and they blended their families together. They mastered 50 years of marriage. Dorothy was known for flea market stations, where she served the community by selling household items and clothing, which she collected from family members and friends. In Mobile, she accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her Savior, and worshipped and served on the Usher Board where her Sister was First Lady. Later in life, she found a greater pleasure in spending summer months visiting her children who lived in various parts of the country.
