Mrs. Dorothy Brown Sumrall's Obituary
Dorothy Ree Sumrall was born on October 22, 1963, in Lauderdale Mississippi to the late Mattie Lee Thomas.
At an early age, she accepted Christ as her personal savior and joined, St. Paul Primitive Baptist Church in Lauderdale, MS. Later in life, she joined Greater Outreach M.B Church in Meridian, MS under the leadership of Pastor Obediah Clemons.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Mattie , Lee Thomas, her sister, Ethel Mae Bell, and her brother, Johnny B. Loyd.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her hus-band, Sylvester Sumrall of Saucier, MS; two daughters: Laquita Thomas of Marion, MS, and Shanika Brown of Houston, IX; seven bonus children; Latreaka (Rodrekious) Rankin of Hattiesburg, MS, April Sumrall and Latoya Sum-rall both of Prentiss, MS, Deundria Sumrall, Kevin Sumrall, and Sylvester Sumrall all of Gulfport, MS, and Kelvin Magee of Hattiesburg, MS; three sisters: Velma Thomas, (James) of Lauderdale, MS, Bonnie (Edgar) Price of Cuba, AL, and Vanessa Blanks of Meridian, MS; Jour brothers: Walter (Geraldine) Loyd of Meridian, MS, Nathan (Gwen) Loyd of Fort Dodge, IA, Early Loyd of Eldorado, AR, and Daniel Thom-
as of Lauder dale, MS; one grandson: TyQwuan Brown of Marion, MS; one-great-grandchild: Ashton Brown of Marion, MS; thirteen bonus grandchildren and five bonus great grandchildren. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will miss her dearly.
