Mrs. Dorothy Taylor's Obituary
Mrs. Dorothy Helen Taylor was born January 7, 1943, in Meridian, MS, to the late Lynn and Regina Boyd. She was united in holy matrimony to the late Connie W Taylor and to this union two sons were born. She was well known throughout Meridian as a warm, loving, and caring person. Some who loved her referred to her as "Helen:' She retired from Mazingo Grocery Store. She also worked at A&P Grocery Store and Sunflower Grocery Store. She departed this life on Thursday, October 10, 2019, at her residence. She leaves to cherish her memories -two loving sons: Reginald W Taylor and Kelvin D. Taylor, Sr., both of Meridian, MS; one daughter: Ellawease Scott-Ford, of Montgomery, AL; seven grandchildren: Reginald Jonathan Taylor, of Meridian, MS; Erik Taylor, of Weiden, Bavaria, Germany; Maeyun Taylor of Meridian, MS; Kelvin D. Taylor, Jr., of Jacksonville, FL; Ashairia Keyes of Meridian, MS; Christopher L Scott, of Louisville, KY; and Hikeem Williams (deceased): six great grandchildren: Kalea Taylor and Alexandria White, both of Meridian, MS; Kelvin Taylor and Kahari Taylor, both of Jacksonville, FL; Christopher L. Scott, II and Kierra Scott, both of Louisville, KY; three sisters: Rosie Brown of Meridian, MS; Linda Louise Davis of Chicago, IL and Barbara Roberts of Meridian, MS; one sister-in-law: Ollie Mae Matthews of Atlanta, GA; one brother-in-law: John Taylor, Jr. of Trenton, NJ; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, mother, three sisters, and two brothers.
