Mr. Douglas Martin's Obituary
Douglas Martin was born on April 13, 1956 to the late Edward L. Martin and Irene Martin in Birmingham, Alabama. Douglas was educated in the Alabama School System. After high school, he entered into Job Corp. In 1974, he relocated to Meridian, Mississippi with his mother. He worked in landscaping and at Walmart. Affectionately known as Doug, he had many friends. He loved his family and friends and he also loved wafching sports. On Friday, May 20, 2022, Doug transitioned from this earthly life to his heavenly home. He was preceded in death by his parents, and three brothers: Michael Martin, Robert Earl Martin and Ricky Williams. He leaves to cherish his memory seven sisters: Barbara Thomas, Derri, Martin, Carolyn Dancy, Wanda Burts, Marilyn Martin, Sandra Martin and Diane Jefferson; six brothers: Edward Martin, Vincent Martin, Gary Martin, Carl Martin, Reginald Martin and Donald Ray Williams; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will miss him dearly.
