Mr. Dwight D. Wilson's Obituary
March 26, 1968, God showed the magnitude of his Love and Grace, when he blessed the late Marcella Hinkle to be the mother of Dwight D. Wilson. It was also because of an unmeasurable amount of love and trust, that the late John Henry and Cora “Tilley” wilson were blessed to be his adoptive parents. Dwight was born at Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian, MS.
When entering this world, we arrive on alignment. God gives each of us a journey with a specific place and time. Dwight D. Wilson’s journey lasted for 49 years. During that time, Dwight lived, laughed and loved. God gifted Dwight with an infectious character and spirit that captivated anyone who encountered him. All that met, knew and loved him were instantly mesmerized by his presence and could not deny a connection with him. The love and bond that Dwight created with people throughout his journey was so strong that he affectionately became known as “Beamon”.
During his earthly journey, Dwight D. Wilson experienced a life that included the joys of childhood, brother & sisterly love and fatherhood. Throughout his life, he held the esteemed titles of son, brother, father, classmate, cousin, friend, uncles, mentor and special someone. He had a special place in the hearts of many. During his earthly journey, Beamon’s adulthood included various sites and cities, test and testimonies. He never took any aspect of his journey for granted, he lived life to the fullest extent.
Dwight D. Wilson was preceded in death by his mother, Marcella Hinkle; his adopted parents, John Henry and Cora “Tilley” Wilson; two sisters, Nancella Hinkle Wilson and Juanita Richardson Dunn; brother, Robert “Buster” Richardson; nephews, Terry Dunn and Hikeem Williams; brother-in-law, Robert Dunn.
Dwight completed his assignment and his earthly journey came to a close on March 18, 2018.
All of those who knew and loved Dwight D. Wilson, thank God for the 49 years he had here on earth. His memory and legacy will be cherished and carried on by his three children, Erika Anderson, Dorian Anderson, both of Meridian, MS and Alaya Owens of Houston, TX; four grandchildren, Ethan Hill, Blake McDade, Grey McDade and Caiden Seals; three brothers, Donald Hinkle (JoAnn) of Columbus, GA, James Earl Hinkle of Polk City, FL and Jerry Hinkle of Meridian, MS; six sisters, Alesha Clark (Johnny) of Atlanta, GA, Jacqueline Jinkle (Single) of Duluth, GA, Brenda Hudnall (Nebraska) of Meridian, MS, Tonya Johns of Houston, TX, Sandra Malone (Lee Curtis) of Atlanta, GA and Diane Scott (Zebbie) of Meridian, MS; a brother for life, Julius Boston; a special friend, Corelli; his beloved nieces, nephews and cousins and a host of friends and acquaintances.
