Mr. Earl “Sonny” Green Jr. was born on October 3, 1942 in Enterprise, MS to the late Earl Green Sr. and Addie Laymon affectionately known as Blackie and Big Momma.
Mr. Green departed his earthly life for peace in heaven on March 6, 2022 in Enterprise, MS. Mr. Green was preceded in death by his two brothers: Bill Henry Green and Earl McGowan.
Sonny leaves to cherish and forever by remembered by his sisters: Dot Hearns and Jaqueline “Jakie” Green; his four children: Marvelette “Laine” McGruder, Lakkisha “Kesha” (James); his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Marquita, Cohan, Jarred, Jayda, Chelsea (Chad), Carson (Paige), Ashleigh, Octavia, Cornelius Jr.
He will also be cherished and remembered by a special friend and caregiver, Ms. Henrietta Goodwin, along with a host of other family members and friends. Mr. Green will be remembered, missed, and loved by all who knew him.
