Mr. Earl Lofton, Jr.'s Obituary
EARL LOFTON, JR. was born on July 27, 1944 to the late Earl Lofton, Sr. and Egellar Pringle Lofton in Toomsuba, MS. He entered into eternal rest on January 18, 2022. He was the youngest of six children that preceded him in death. Earl graduated from Middleton Attendance Center in 1963 previously known as Stevenson School. Earl married his high school sweetheart, the late Betty Jean Lofton and then relocated to Buffalo, New York in 1964. Together they were blessed with three children: the late Ronald Lofton, Sonya Lofton and Tiffany Lofton-Ferguson. Finding love again, Earl married Judy Witcher in 2021 with whom he shared his life with until his passing. He found employment with General Motors and he worked for 33 years before retiring in 2003. He accepted Christ at an early age and . was as active member at Little Hope Missionary Baptist Church. Earl was a very outgoing, adventurous, fun and loving man. He had a passion for hunting, fishing, cooking, boating and was a master at grilling. Red was his favorite color which symbolizes love, strength and power. Earl enjoyed cooking for his family. He also loved to travel frequently to different cities to go fishing. He took pride in catching large amounts of fish. Earl was a very wise, strong and kind hearted man. He truly enjoyed his family and enjoyed spending time with them all especially his grandchildren. He was a great story teller, we loved to listen to memories of his childhoo,d. He was a devoted father and shared a relationship with each one of his children. Earl was a mediator and was always a neutral party no matter what. Earl's energetic, outspoken, strong and impeccable spirit will never be forgotten and will be cherished by every person he touched. Earl leaves to cherish his memory, his devoted wife Judy Lofton; three daughters: Sonya (Christopher Hinson), Tiffany (Michael Ferguson) and Terry (the late Arthur Pete); sixteen grandchildren; one grandson who preceded him in death; eight greatgrandchildren; one step brother; three step children; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and dear friends.
