Mrs. Earline Douglas' Obituary
Mrs. Earline Douglas was born to the late T.C. and Louella Jones on April 19, 1929 in Scooba, Mississippi. At an early age she joined the Bodka Valley Baptist Church in Scooba. She departed this life on April 30, 2015 at H.C. Watkins Memorial Hospital in Quitman, Mississippi. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and aunt, she loved to cook and bake cakes for her family and others within the community. She worked for many years at Burlington Industries, where she retired and became a homemaker until the Lord called her home. She attended Grace Temple Apostolic Church of Waynesboro, MS. She was preceded in death by her husband, the late Louis Douglas, Sr.; her son Lewis Douglas, Jr.; parents, T.C. (Louella) Jones, three brothers: Cleveland Jones, Jim Henry Jones, and Malcolm Jones; and a sister: Retha Mae jones. She leaves to cherish her memories three sons: David Douglas of Quitman, MS., Billy Ray Douglas of Hattiesburg, MS., and Larry (Marsha) Douglas of Chicago, 11.; eight daughters: Dorothy Peebles, Shirley (Billy) McLaughlin, Debra Douglas, all of Quitman, MS., Rosie Horton of Fredricksburg, VA., Linda (Richard) Gibson of Atlanta, GA., Brenda (Lennox) Riley of San Antonio, TX., and Sandra Kelly of El Paso, TX, Earnestine (Larry) Banks of Melvin, AL ; three sisters: Eva White of Chicago, IL, Lillie (Roy) Brown of Atlanta, GA, and Maggie Qohnny) Douglas of Quitman, MS; two brothers: Joe Jones of Omaha, NE, and A.C. Jones of Lincoln, NE; thirty-eight grandchildren and thirty-eight great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
