Ms. Earnestine Easley's Obituary
Earnestine “Miss Kitty” Easley was born to the union of General and Ella (Irby) Easley on May 10, 1938 in Meridian, Mississippi. The Lord called her home from this earthly body on Saturday, October 29, 2022. Miss Kitty was the youngest of fifteen children. She attended T.J. Harris High School. Upon receiving her GED, she began her career as a Nurse's Aide. She also worked as the head cook for Lauderdale County Juvenile Center. Miss Kitty instilled in her children to get their education, she believed that no one could take that away from you. Being a single parent, she passed on to her children to always be compassionate, caring, devoted, trustworthy and loving. She was a lifelong member of the Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church. She was an avid sports fan. She loved the Atlanta Braves, and the New York Yankees. She also was great fan of SE Lauderdale High School Sports Program. Miss Kitty lived her life on her own terms, until her health began to fail. She leaves to cherish her memories a son, John Clyde (Lynette) Easley; Surprise, Arizona, two daughters Ruby (Clifton) Kilpatrick, Zanesville, Ohio and Patricia "Peaches" Easley, Meridian, Mississippi; Sister Julia Nell Williamson; Joliet, Illinois. Her Pride and Joy, her twelve (12) grandchildren; Lani Easley Luna, Jahn C "Keoni" Easley (Natalia), Terrell Kilpatrick, Tyshon Johnson; Michael Kilpatrick, Kaimana Easley, Jeremy (Jada Seveat) Easley, Cassandra (Chris) Hodge, Jarrod Kilpatrick, Jamie (Shalissa)Easley, Justin Easley, and Veronica Easley, Surrogate Granddaughter; Costella Haley. Great-grandchildren; Mariah (Tyler) Braun, Jada, Jy'Quavion, A 'Zyion, and Jy'Zeria Johnson, Jamal, Jaleel, Kacey, and Janelle Easley, Leon, Andrew and Joseph Luna, Michael Jr and Genesis Kilpatrick, Great great grandchild, Jameson Braun. She was in preceded in death by her parents, son Willie James Easley, life partner James Willie Powell, Sisters Pearl Crowell, Ella Marie Williamson, Marjorie Walker, Maze/ Frost, Mildred Matthews, Ruby Matthews, and Christine Young Brothers: Abel, Perry, Arzel, General William "Bill" Tyree, and Joseph Easley and numerous nieces and nephews.
