Mrs. Easter Delores Adams' Obituary
Easter Delores Edwards Adams was born on March 2, 1953 to the late Mr. Clemmie Edwards and Mrs. Lora Stevenson in Meridian, MS.
At an early age, she united with the Mt. Salem United Methodist Church. She later united with Pilgrim Hill United Methodist Church in Meridian, MS.
Easter was educated through the Meridian Public School System and graduated from Meridian High School. She furthered her education at Meridian Community College where she graduated and received her Associates of Arts degree. After graduating from MCC, continued her education at Mississippi State University where she received her Bachelor's degree in Social Work. Her career tenure was with Weems Community Mental Health Center and Meridian Public Schools. She served as a faithful and dedicated employee for twenty-seven (27) years with Meridian Public Schools until her retirement in 2022.
Easter was one who loved life and everyone who was a part of her life. She loved shopping, reading, especially her Bible, giving to back to her family and community, and spending time with her family and friends. She especially enjoyed being with her grandchildren. She had a sweet and humble spirit and she was loved by many she came in contact with. Her smile and characteristics she possessed would brighten up a cloudy day and her wisdom she poured into her family and friends will forever be cherished. She was also a dedicated and faithful member of her church. She loved praising the Lord, studying more of God's Word and serving in any capacity to the best of her ability. She truly loved her church family.
Easter met the love of her life, Alvin Adams and they united in Holy Matrimony. To this beautiful union, four (4) beautiful and loving daughters were born.
On Saturday, July 22, 2023, Easter heard God's voice and answered His call to depart from this earthly life to be forever present with Him. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Adams; her parents, Clemmie Edwards and Lora Stevenson; one granddaughter, Kaitlyn Moore; one brother, Cleo Stevenson, and three (3) brothers-in-law: James Proffit, Woodrow Harbin and Willie Adams.
Easter leaves to honor her legacy and cherish her memories her four (4) daughters: Erika Adams, Amy Adams Hersey (Michael), Jennifer Adams Moore (Fred) and Deidra Adams Pollard (Chris); eight (8) grandchildren: Aja Hersey, Ga'Naya Adams, Dayln Moore, Malia Hersey, Fredrick Moore, Kaylee Moore, Bryce Wooten and Cali Pollard; one (1) great-grandchild on the way; one (1) sister, Carrie Adams; nine (9) sisters-in-law; four (4) brothers-in-law; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
