Mr. Eddie James Sidney's Obituary
Mr. Eddie James Sidney, affectionately known as "Fuzzy", was born in Meridian, MS on February 1, 1948 to the late Tute Sidney and Birdie Lee Conley-Sidney. Eddie started his education with the Meridian Public School System. He later begin his employment with Mayhoffe Logging, where he was employed for 40+ years until he health began to fail. In his spare time, he loved going fishing and hunting. Going fishing was one of his favorite hobbies to do with his wife to be able to relax and enjoy each other's company. He had also had a green thumb and enjoyed gardening. Above all of his hobbies he enjoyed, he loved spending time with his family and friends. He always cracked jokes when he was around the ones he loved the most to keep the atmosphere fun and enjoyable. "Fuzzy" was well known, much loved and well respected on the hill in Savoy. February 17, 2021 at Rush Hospital, Eddie answered the call of God to transition from this earthly life to his Heavenly Home. He was preceded in death by his mother, Birdie Lee Conley-Sidney; brothers: Willie Earl McGlothin, Jessie Sidney, Thomas "Vamp" McGlothin, and Wilbert "Slick" Sidney; one (I) sister, Thelma Sidney. Eddie leaves to cherish his memories his loving devoted wife, Katie Marshall-Sidney; three daughters: Stacy Sidney Malone (James), Joyce Crowell both of Meridian, MS and Dr. Kimberly Sidney of Birmingham Al; one (I) step-son, Andra Ford (Lora) of Stonewall, MS, step-daughters: Cornelia Finley (Odell) of Jackson, MS, Gloria Williams, Stephanie Ford, Cynthia Ford all of Stonewall, MS, and Christina Ford of Meridian, MS; three (3) brothers: Robert Earl McGlothin of Meridian, MS, Albert Charles Sidney (Delores) of Jackson, MS and Albert Sidney (Rose) of Pensacola, FL;, three (3) sisters: Lessie Sidney, Ida Roberts (Audwin), and Marilyn Townsend-Davis (Fredrick) all of Meridian, MS; sisters-in-law: Clara Donald, Bernice Clarke, Willie Mae Marshall all of Quitman, MS and Emma Mae Marshall of Pensacola, FL; brothers-in/aw: Willie Marshall of Quitman, MS and Glenn Howard Marshall of Alexander, LA; one grandson, Jataviaess Lavonia Rackley; 18 step-grandchildren, 18 step-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
