Mrs. Edna Lewis Reed's Obituary
Mrs. Edna Lewis Reed was born on Morch 9, 1952 in Emelle Alabama, the daughter of the late John and Currie (Sims) Holl. Preceding her in death was her Biological Father Albert Lewis and Brothers Jomes Lewis and Charles Alexander. Edna accepted Christ at on early age and united with Providence Baptist Church in Electric Mills, Mssissipppi, where she served on the Usher Boord. She later united with Bodko Volley Baptist Church in Eectric Mills, MS where she served on the Usher Boord and as church secretary for many years. Edna graduated from Spencer High School in Scooba, MS. She later attended Harrison School of Business in Little Rock, Arkansas where she received a Certificate of Business. She later attended East Central Community College where she received a Homemaker Certificate. She worked at Smith Clothing Store in Scooba, MS, Lauderdale Mills in Lauderdale, MS. She worked for East Central Planning and Development where she served as Homemaker for Kemper County. She worked as a substitute teacher for East Kemper High School for four years. On October 28, 1972 Edna Lewis and Tommie Reed united in Holy Matrimony. To this union was born three children, Felicia Reed (Delexia, CharKevion Reed), Chassity Reed of Little Rock, Arkansas and Johnny Reed and Gonzales, LA. She leaves to cherish her memories; her husband, Tommie, her biological mother, Mary Alice Colquitt (Detroit, MI); sister, Emma Jean Simmons (Detroit, MI); two God-sisters, Clarise Carter and Mary Ann Jones of Salisbury, North Carolina; two step-children, George Rencher of Cleveland, OH and Alice Rencher of Epps, AL and a host of family and friends.
