Mr. Edward Junior Stephens' Obituary
Edward “Big Ed” Stephens was born on June 5, 1957, in Kosciusko, MS to the late Charlie & Rosie Stephens. Big Ed departed this life on January 11, 2021. During Edward’s life on Earth, some of the things he enjoyed were: cooking of all sorts, but grill was his favorite, watching different TV shows on ID channel such as First 48 & Cops. Big Ed also enjoyed reading his bile & talking on the phone to his siblings whom would talk for hours. He cherished every moment with his grandkids, whom affectionately called him “Papa”. He enjoyed many things in life, but most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Big Ed was the true definition of a family man. Big Ed graduated from McAdams High School. He accepted Christ at an early age.
Edward was preceded in death by 2 sisters: Shirley & Charlene Starkey; 2 brother: Charlie Stephens Jr. & Charlie Jones.
Edward leaves to cherish his memories: a loving wife, Roxie Ann Brown-Stephens; one daughter, Takeila Stephens (Ke’Ondre)l one son, Edward (Ty’Teshia) Stephens; 7 grandkids, Michael, Mikita, Destini, Um’unique, JaQuan, Chris &Shawn; five sisters: Geraldine (Wesley), Shone (Clarence) Carolyn, Sarah & Annie; 3 brothers: Landford, Anthony, and Eddie; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
