Mrs. Ellen Marie Franklin's Obituary
Ellen Marie Franklin was born to the late Joseph and Ezola Martin in Meridian, MS on August 9, 1961. She professed Christ at an early age at Fairview Baptist Church. In the year of 1981, Marie united in Holy Matrimony to Robert Franklin and in this union the Lord blessed them with four children, four grandchildren, and a soon to be great grandson. She was a hard worker at Delco Remy 10+ years and then pursued real estate as she was recognized as the #1 realtor in the city of Meridian for many years until she retired. Along with being an amazing wife, mother and nana she rejoined her childhood church at Fairview Baptist Church, where she loved singing and other various things as well as helping in the community in NAACP and being a voice to many through hard times. Marie was a big bundle of joy with a personality that left you with knowledge and hope. She was known for her strength and her presence that commands a room. Marie departed this earthly life on Thursday, August 12,2021 at her resident. She was preceded in death by her parents, one-brother Larry Johnson, Betty Franklin (mother-in-love), aunts and uncles. She leaves to cherish her memories a devoted husband Robert Earl Franklin of forty years, three daughters: Chromecia (Kevin) Williams, Laketheia Martin, Roslynn Franklin, one son Robert FranklinJr., four grandchildren: Jasmine Ramsey (nana gal) , Jermaine Ramsey (nana Maine), Kyler Williams (professor) and Aaliyah Lampkin (moonie pie), three sisters Norma (Larry) Smith, Ola (late Charles Cole), Joann (Raymond) Rayford, four brothers Lynn (Edna) Mauldin,Joseph (Debra) Martin, Dennis Martin,Jason Martin and a host of niece, nephews, family, and friends.
