Mr. Elliott Freeman King's Obituary
Elliott Freeman King age 73, passed away at Walter Reed National Medical Center in Bethesda Maryland on Sunday April 10, 2022. He was born to Spencer and Irene King on April 4, 1949 in Enterprise Mississippi. At an early age he moved to Racine, Wisconsin with his family where he grew up. Elliot graduated from Washington Park High School in Racine, WI. He proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. While in the service he worked at the Pentagon as a chef, serving the Presidential Committee and staff. He retired from the air force after 20 years of service, in 1989. Elliott worked various jobs after his retirement. His last place of employment was the Government Prentice Office where he worked as a chef until 2008. He returned to Enterprise, MS in 2009 to be closer to his family. Due to his declining health in 2021 he relocated to Hyattsville, MO to live with his daughter. Elliott had a great sense of humor and was very entertaining. He enjoyed cooking, fishing, traveling and visiting casinos trying his luck. But most of all he enjoyed being with his family, especially playing with his grandchildren. Elliott leaves to cherish his memory: wife Christine of Upper Molboro, MD; daughter Quinisha (Denard) Cunningham of Hyattsville, MD; sons Kendall and Lydell Nickens of South Carolina; grandchildren Destiny and Judah Cunningham; loving mother Irene King of Enterprise, MS; sisters Mary King and Rosie Carothers of Racine, WI; Vivian and Wendy King of Enterprise, MS; brothers Ben and Carliss King of Racine, WI; Armond (Danita) King of Alpharetta, "'"'GA and Tracy King of Killeen, TX; aunts Willie Mae Chambliss of Meridian, MS and Jean King of Racine, WI; Great Aunt Ruth Sanders of Meridian, MS and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father Spencer King Sr; sisters Minnie and Dorothy King; brothers Mark King and Spencer King Jr.; grandparents Henry Cotton, Rosetta and William Chambliss, Bennie King Sr. and Alma King.
