Elder Ellis Lee Taylor, Sr.'s Obituary
Elder Ellis Lee Taylor, Sr. better known as Eld Taylor was born January 25, 1957 to the late Essie F. Taylor and Clinton Shelton. Eld Taylor was a retired veteran and served in the Persian Gulf War as part of Operation Desert Shield/Storm in 1983. He was born into The Pentecostal Church of God and was a firm believer in Jesus Christ until his death. He met his beautiful wife of 35 years, Alice Lezzette Love in York, Alabama and they were later joined together in holy matrimony. Together, they raised five children. From the very beginning, he dedicated his children to God and encouraged them to let nothing separate thein from the love of God. He served as an ordained pastor in York, Alabama for three years. He had a firm love for leadership and lived life serving others. Eld Taylor could have an engaging conversation with anyone for he knew no stranger. Eld Taylor earthly journey ended and his soul gained rest the morning of March 14, 2019 at his home in York, Al. He shined his light everywhere. He had an impetuous passion for preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ. Aside from his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Katherine Jackson. He leaves to cherish his memories: a loving wife, Alice Lezzette Taylor; three daughters: Alicia Love, La Temple(James Maurice) Glover and JaToya Taylor; two sons: Ellis ( Crystal) Taylor Jr. and Nico Taylor; seven grandsons: Dalvin Tolliver, Kalon Glover, Demonte Western, Pierre Glover, Jamarion Taylor, Evan Glover and King Taylor; one granddaughter: Arianna Love; three sisters: Jennifer Jackson, Wanda· Jackson and Sandra Shelton Chaney; three brothers: Clinton Shelton, Jr., Kellen Jackson and Emery Jackson and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
