Mrs. Ellisteen Combest Stampley's Obituary
Ellisteen Combest Stampley transitioned to spend eternity with our Heavenly Father on July 7, 2021 at her home in Houston Texas. Ellisteen was born to the late Miller Fikes and Wilma Combest Fikes on September 15, 1936 . She was preceded in death by her husband, Aaron H. Stampley Jr. Ellisteen 's childhood memories began growing up in Pachuta, Mississippi. She attended Chapel Hill Baptist Church where she confessed her life to Christ at an early age. Ellisteen attended Shirley Owens High School of Quitman, Mississippi. She later moved to New Orleans, Louisiana. She was employed by the New Orleans Police Department where she performed the duties of a meter reader. Ellisteen retired from the New Orleans Police Department after 21 years of dedicated service. Ellisteen moved to Houston Texas where she could be close to family and loved ones. She enjoyed playing Bingo and socializing with friends and spending time with her family. She leaves to cherish her precious memory, a loving daughter: Vanessa Stampley Austin, Texas; a loving and devoted son: Melcom L. Stampley (Charlene) Houston, Texas; one granddaughter: Chardonay'e Stampley, one grandson X'Quemani' Stampley and one great granddaughter Zih 'yan Thomas. She also leaves to mourn one sister: Dessie Mae Connors (Robert) Pachuta, MS. two brothers: Miller Fikes, Jr. (Blondell I deceased) Yazoo, MS and Willie Jefferson (Pam) New Orleans, LA. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will miss her dearly.
