Mr. Eric James Herlong, Sr.'s Obituary
Eric James Herlong, Sr. was born on October 27, 1978 to Essie Walker and Wayne Davis in Meridian, Ms. He joined Little Hope Baptist Church in Toomsuba, MS at an early age. Eric graduated from Southeast Lauderdale High School in 1997. He was employed by Southwest Paper Company in Livingston, Alabama. Eric met and married Tekieala (Reid) Herlong in Meridian, MS., on May 16, 2004 and they had three sons, Eric James Herlong Jr.; Riquay Griffin; and Charles Burrage of Mobile, Alabama. Eric departed this life on September 17, 2017 in Epes, Alabama. He was preceded in death by his sister De'Sandra Herlong., Eunice and Johnny Walker (maternal grandparents); Lula Williams and Cleveland Burrage (Paternal Grandparents). He leaves to cherish his memories: His wife; Tekiela (Reid) Herlong of Mobile Alabama; His mother, Essie Herlong and his father Wayne Davis, both of Meridian, MS; Three sons, Eric James Herlong, Jr.; Riquay Griffin; and Charles Burrage of Mobile, Alabama; one daughter Eriana Nasha Herlong of Meridian, MS; Three Sisters; Stephanie (Kenneth) Walker-Pearson of Quitman, MS; Kimberly (Nash) Williamson of Bronx, NY; and Sabrina Kennedy, of Birmingham, AL; Four brothers; Sterling Evans and Rashaud Blakney of Meridian, MS; Anthony King of Jackson, MS and Jaylon Coleman of Lisman, AL, a host nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, special friend Cheryl Christian, other relatives and friends.
