Mr. Ernest Ray Buckley's Obituary
Ernest Ray Buckley was born February 9, 1961 in Racine, Wisconsin to the late Dennis & Merle (Dumas) Buckley.
Ernest, also known fondly as “Cheese Head”, gave his life to Christ at an early age. He was brought up in First Baptist Church of Enterprise and later joined First United Missionary Baptist Church of Stonewall, MS. He was a graduate of Enterprise High School where football was his passion. He married Anna Jones and a son was born to this union. Ernest worked as a supervisor of Solar Group, Inc. in Enterprise, MS and as a certified maintenance technician in Memphis, TN until his health failed.
Ernest was called home from this earthly life February 23, 2016 at 3:00 AM at his home. Ernest was preceded in death by his parents, Dennis & Merle Buckley; sister, Cathy J. Buckley; brother, Kelvin Buckley and nephew, Terrence D. Buckley
He leaves to cherish precious memories: (2) sons, Derrick James, Charlotte, NC; Trenton Jones, Austin, TX; one (1) brother, Jerry (Amanda) Buckley, Plano, TX; three (3) grandsons, Emory & Cameron James, Meridian, MS; Layton James, Fayetteville, NC; one uncle, John Calvin Dumas, Cheyenne, WY; aunt & special cousin, Eva Dumas-Green and a host of devoted nieces, nephews and cousins.
A special thanks and acknowledgement to cousins, Maurice and Charlotte Roach for their love, care and emotional support during Ernest’s transition.
