Ms. Ethel Mae Johnson was born April 19th, 1945, to the late Mr. Charlie Sr. and Georgia Mae Johnson in Lauderdale, MS. She heard God's call to come take, her rest from Earth on March 19, 2023, in Jackson, MS. Ethel Mae stayed in Bessemer, AL Vt1ith her late grandmother, Mandy Mosley, until she graduated from Dunbar High School in 1963. Ethel Mae lived life on her own terms with no regrets. She was a lady of a few words, and she meant what she said. She was very sweet and loved dearly by her family. Ethel Mae was a member of Pleasant Grove M.B. Church Ethel Mae is preceded in death by her parents, the Late Charlie Sr. and Georgia Mae Johnson; Brothers: Roman Johnson, Charlie Jr. (Dino) Johnson, Johnny Johnson, Walter Johnson, Lawrence (Lala) Johnson, -and Johnny Johnson, all of Meridian, MS; Sisters; Eloise Arsello, Latonya Johnson1 and Ruth Johnson. Ethel Mae is su,vived by her son, Stanford (Wayne) Johnson of Summerville, SC; one grandson, Jawaan Johnson of Queens, NY; one grand-daughter, Nia Johnson of Bronx, NY and one grandson; Sisters; Alice (Mamie) Button, Taffy Ruffin of Meridian, MS, and Ollie Ruth Huell of Arveme, NY; Brothers: Howard and Jimmie Johnson of Meridian, MS; A special niece, Catherine (Cat) Burton of Meridian, MS; A host of nieces, nephews, cousins1 and friends.
